So do I “donate” to the extras box or take on the challenge?
None of my cook books contained this exotic ingredient, so over to the computer to google a recipe my family would eat.
Betel Wrapped beef was a HUGE hit, and I am not only excited to “discover” a new delicious EASY and fast meal, that my family enjoyed but can’t wait to see what challenge week 4 brings.

Thanks for sharing a great recipe find! I still have a few leaves left, wonder how one can freeze them? Talked to Robert Barnum yesterday about betel leaf, and he suggested dipping it in tempura batter and frying it. The oil then takes on the smoky sausagey flavor which transfers to the other tempura ingedients. He also suggested putting it in with the green bean pickles that I’m making. That ought to be interesting!
