I know the harvest and the weather can be iffy, but I was disappointed as a half-share member that all the carrots, celery, and boniato went only to the full-share boxes.

The reason those items went to full shares only is simply that there wasn’t nearly enough of them at harvest time, and there’s almost twice as many half shares as full shares. The other option would have been to not give them to anyone! Don’t worry, sometimes the half shares are very, very full. Sometimes half shares get items that full shares do not. It all balances out in the end. You’ll probably be seeing carrots and celery at some point in the half shares too (no boniato-that was it for the season).
