Farmer Margie has posted on this blog, and now she’s got the blog fever and started her own, Bee Heaven Farm’s blog. The news and details will be a lot more specific to daily operations at the farm. Meanwhile, Redland Rambles will keep rambling about Bee Heaven, the CSA and its members, other growers in Redland Organics, and whatever’s going on in Redland that’s relevant and that I find out about in a timely manner. Am cutting back on the politics, though…

Hi Margie,
About this time last hear we purchased several species of hybrid tomato plants when we were on our field trip with the Master Gardner’s class (great tour, by the way). We were wondering when you will have the transplants ready for this year and do you have a list of the varieties?
We have had several requests from friends and family for your tomatoes!
I look very much forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Angela Garrison

Hi, Angela & Kim,
Thank you- I hope you’ve been able to put your Master Gardener skills to good use!
We will have a large selection of heirloom tomato plants (I don’t think you meant hybrid… 😉 ) for sale at FTG’s Edible Garden event October 24 & 25. I don’t have the list prepared yet, but most of those will be the small & plum type varieties.
We will have even more varieties, including the large (and beefsteak types) ready about mid-November, and will be offering them at FTG’s RAMBLE event November 20-22.
Please visit our farm’s blog: http://www.beeheavenfarm.wordpress.com regularly for updates. We’ll be publishing the list of starts there.
